Celebrate Europe Day!                                Agenda Speakers Exhibition Registration

The signing of the Treaties of Rome in 1957 created a family of countries “united in diversity” that continues to work in cooperation for peace and prosperity. Europeans celebrate this unity, solidarity and harmony annually on May 9—Europe Day. This year also marks the 50 th birthday of the EU.

In honor of this historic occasion, Duquesne University’s Center for International Regulatory Assistance (CITRA) and Chrysler Corp. Small Business Development Center (SBDC) are proud to present a forum to showcase European business, academic and cultural developments and collaborative opportunities for the United States.

Join us for lunch and have some cake, too. Listen to the keynote address in which Anthony Smallwood of the European Commission Delegation to the U.S. will consider the European Union as U.S. partner for the 21 st century, looking at prospects based on 50 years of collaborative efforts. In one panel, witness and engage in discussions about European Harmonization/Cultural Diversity with topics including EU expansion, constitution, and cultural preservation. The second panel addresses EU – U.S. Collaborative Opportunities for students, business, and tourists and covers topics of broad political interest.

Be sure to stay for the Everything Europe trade show and reception to explore European Union related products and services from the area: Business and leisure travel services, culinary art and culture, consular country tables, study programs, etc. You will automatically be entered to win amazing raffle prizes.
